
Melasma is a common pigmentary condition affecting the face, namely the both cheeks, forehead, upper lip and bridge of nose. Melasma also known as chloasma or mask of pregnancy when it occur in pregnant women.
It usually appears in early adulthood and it’s onset can be associated with pregnancy, sun exposure and family history. An association of excessive redness and blood vessels in the skin with the severity of the melasma. The cause is still unclear and there is no cure for this condition. It can only be treated and reduced with the following treatments.
